This bill requires the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to establish a standardized methodology for collecting and mapping accurate fixed and mobile broadband internet service coverage data.

The FCC must form an Office of Broadband Data Collection and Mapping to serve as the central point for data collection, aggregation, and validation. In addition, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration must establish a technical assistance program for providing grants to assist with mapping and development and to assess both broadband adoption rates and advertised pricing.
