Summary
Survivor Outreach and Support Campus Act or the SOS Campus Act
This bill provides support for students of institutions of higher education (IHEs) who are victims of sexual assault.
IHEs that receive federal funding must designate independent advocates for campus sexual assault prevention and response. The advocates must provide services to the victims.
In addition, the bill prohibits IHEs from retaliating against advocates for representing the interests of victims or against victims for reporting sexual assaults to advocates.
