Summary

National Oceanographic Partnership Program Reauthorization Act

This bill revises naval administration of the National Oceanographic Partnership Program. Specifically, the bill

  • expands the program's purposes;
  • modifies the Department of the Interior's representation on the National Ocean Research Leadership Council and provides additional authorities to the council concerning supervision of the performance of duties by the program office (including concerning new collaborative programs);
  • adds reporting requirements; and
  • adds criteria for selection of an operator of the Partnership Program Office, as well as a process for choosing projects funded by private contracts, grants, and donations.
