Summary

Building STEAM Education Act of 2019

This bill requires (1) the STEM Education Advisory Panel to consider ways of integrating art and design into STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education programs to promote innovation; (2) the National Science Foundation's Math and Science Partnership program to develop a STEM educational curriculum that incorporates art and design to promote creativity and innovation; and (3) teacher institutes for the 21st century, which provide professional development to teachers, to have a component that includes the integration of art and design principles and processes.
