Summary

Easy Enrollment Act of 2019

This bill changes the annual open enrollment period for health care exchanges. Beginning with benefit year 2021, the annual open enrollment period must begin on a date set by the Department of Health and Human Services and must end on April 15 of the benefit year. Under current regulations, the annual open enrollment period begins on November 1 and ends on December 15 of the calendar year preceding the benefit year.
