Summary

Free the Internet around the Globe to Hack Tyranny and Censorship Act or the FIGHT Censorship Act

This bill establishes an Internet Freedom Task Force to report on the state of global internet freedom, requires the Department of State to annually designate countries that do not provide sufficient internet freedom to their residents, and requires the State Department to administer a grant program to promote internet freedom policies worldwide. The bill also establishes and provides funding for the Stop the CCP Initiative Fund to support the development of technologies to counter and circumvent internet censorship within China and to promote human rights and fundamental freedoms on the internet.
