Summary

This bill designates the River Terrace Area of the Anacostia Park in the District of Columbia as the "Illinois' Bicentennial Grove."

The Department of the Interior shall furnish and place a plaque near the trees planted in the Illinois' Bicentennial Grove in recognition of the trees as a tribute to the bicentennial of the State of Illinois and to Edward Coles, Mary Brown Davis, and Elijah and Owen Lovejoy, who were prominent abolitionists from Illinois.
