Summary

Medicaid Cost-Sharing Waiver Flexibility Act of 2017

This bill amends title XIX (Medicaid) of the Social Security Act to allow a state Medicaid program operating under a waiver to impose cost sharing or similar charges with respect to individuals who qualify for medical assistance for reasons other than being aged, blind, or disabled. Current law allows a program to impose such charges only if the waiver is for a demonstration project that meets specified requirements.
