Mr. Braun introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources


A BILL

To provide for a report on the maintenance of Federal land holdings under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Report on maintaining Federal land holdings under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior.

Not later than 120 days after the date on which the President submits to Congress the budget of the United States for fiscal year 2020, the Secretary of the Interior shall submit to Congress a report that describes—

(1) all Federal land holdings under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior; and

(2) the total cost of maintaining the Federal land holdings described under paragraph (1) for each of fiscal years 2017 through 2019, including an accounting of holdings and expenditures by each Federal agency with respect to the land holdings.
