Summary

DUI Reporting Act of 2019

This bill revises reporting requirements related to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) must provide a list to the Department of Transportation (DOT) identifying each state that is appropriately reporting to a federal repository arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The bill requires DOT to withhold national priority safety program grant funds for impaired driving countermeasures from a state that does not appear on the most recent list provided to DOT by DOJ.
