Summary
Volunteer Fire Department Training Fund.Creates a special nonreverting fund to be known as the VolunteerFire Department Training Fund that shall be used solely for the purposesof assisting or reimbursing volunteer fire departments or volunteerfire companies with the costs of training and certifying volunteerfirefighters. The bill also requires the Secretary of Public Safetyand Homeland Security to establish a workgroup to study the accessibilityand availability of training programs with a specific focus on providingtraining programs to volunteer fire departments, volunteer fire companies,and volunteer firefighters in a cost-efficient and effective manner.
