Summary
Purple Heart Flag Act
This bill designates a flag as the Purple Heart Flag (which recognizes soldiers wounded during hostilities) and requires that it be displayed in a manner visible to the public.
The Flag shall be displayed on Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, National POW/MIA Recognition Day, and Veterans Day in the following locations:
- the World War II Memorial;
- the Korean War Veterans Memorial;
- the Vietnam Veterans Memorial;
- each national cemetery;
- the buildings containing the official offices of the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and the Director of the Selective Service System; and
- each medical center of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
