Mr. Johnson of Louisiana introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure


A BILL

To reauthorize a pilot program to evaluate the effectiveness of certain water-related feasibility studies carried out by non-Federal interests.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Non-Federal implementation of water-related feasibility studies.

Section 1043(a) of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2014 (33 U.S.C. 2201 note) is amended—

(1) in paragraph (5)(B) by inserting “and every 5 years thereafter until the termination of authority of the pilot program,” after “enactment of this Act,”;

(2) in paragraph (7) by striking “on the date that is 5 years after the date of enactment of this Act” and inserting “at the end of the fiscal year period described in paragraph (8)”; and

(3) in paragraph (8) by striking “fiscal years 2015 through 2019” and inserting “fiscal years 2021 through 2025”.
