Summary
Empowering Law Enforcement for Safer Firearm Transfers Act of 2021
This bill modifies procedural requirements related to the transfer of machine guns, destructive devices, and certain other firearms.
Specifically, the bill requires the chief law enforcement officer of the jurisdiction in which the transferee primarily resides to be notified of the pending transfer and given 90 days to object.
