Summary

American Innovation Act

This bill provides permanent funding for

  • the National Science Foundation,
  • the Office of Science at the Department of Energy,
  • the Department of Defense science and technology programs,
  • the scientific and technical research and services of the National Institute of Standards and Technology at the Department of Commerce, and
  • the Science Mission Directorate at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

The bill exempts such funding from being sequestered under the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act.
