Mr. Lee (for himself and Ms. Klobuchar) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary


A BILL

To amend title 28 of the United States Code to prevent the transfer of actions arising under the antitrust laws in which a State is a complainant.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “State Antitrust Enforcement Venue Act of 2021”.

SEC. 2. Amendments.

Section 1407 of title 28 of the United States Code is amended—

(1) in subsection (g) by inserting “or a State” after “United States”, and

(2) by striking subsection (h).

SEC. 3. Effective date.

This Act and the amendments made by this Act, shall take effect on June 1, 2021.
