A BILL

To amend the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act to reauthorize surveillance and data collection by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for child, youth, and adult trauma.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Keeping Kids Safe Act of 2023”.

SEC. 2. CDC surveillance and data collection for child, youth, and adult trauma.

Section 7131(e) of the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act (42 U.S.C. 242t(e)) is amended by striking “$2,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023” and inserting “$9,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2024 through 2028”.
