Mrs. Dingell (for herself and Mr. Bilirakis) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce

A BILL

To amend the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act to reauthorize a pilot program for public health laboratories to detect fentanyl and other synthetic opioids.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Federal Interventions and New Detections of Fentanyl Act of 2023” or the “FIND Fentanyl Act of 2023”.

SEC. 2. Pilot program for public health laboratories to detect fentanyl and other synthetic opioids.

Section 7011(d) of the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act (42 U.S.C. 247d–10(d)) is amended by striking “fiscal years 2019 through 2023” and inserting “fiscal years 2024 through 2028”.
