Mr. Alford introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services

A BILL

To limit the use of Federal funds authorized by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 for the Department of Defense Countering Extremism Work Group.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Defund Extremism Working Group Act”.

SEC. 2. Prohibition on use of funds authorized by fiscal year 2024 NDAA for Department of Defense Countering Extremism Work Group.

No funds authorized to be appropriated by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 may be used to fund the Department of Defense Countering Extremism Work Group.
