The bill proposes printing $250 bills featuring the likeness of Donald J. Trump to celebrate the United States' semiquincentennial. It also suggests allowing living Presidents' portraits on U.S. currency and securities. If this bill passes, the U.S. Treasury would be directed to print $250 Federal Reserve notes with Trump's portrait, and the law would be amended to permit living presidents' images on U.S. currency and securities, with the exception of individuals who have served as President.
Donald J. Trump $250 Bill Act
This bill requires the Department of the Treasury to print paper currency in the denomination of $250 featuring a portrait of President Donald Trump.
Under current law, U.S. currency may only feature the portrait of a deceased person. The bill creates an exception for individuals who are or were President of the United States.
