The Commission's duties include reviewing healthcare delivery to veterans, conducting special studies, and coordinating with relevant agencies.
The Commission has the authority to employ an Executive Director, seek assistance from departments and agencies, make payments related to its work, and prescribe necessary rules and regulations.
The Commission is required to submit annual reports to Congress containing results and recommendations from its review, and to provide unrestricted access to its information to certain congressional support agencies.
