Commending and congratulating the Summerlin South Little League baseball team on winning the 2025 Little League World Series United States Championship.

Ms. Cortez Masto (for herself and Ms. Rosen) submitted the following resolution; which was considered and agreed to
Commending and congratulating the Summerlin South Little League baseball team on winning the 2025 Little League World Series United States Championship.
Whereas, on August 23, 2025, the Summerlin South Little League baseball team (referred to in this resolution as the “Summerlin South”) won the 2025 Little League World Series United States Championship;
Whereas the Summerlin South Little League defeated Fairfield National Little League, winning the United States Championship 8–2;
Whereas this is the first team from Summerlin South to advance to the Little League World Series Tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania;
Whereas Summerlin South became the second team from Nevada to win the Little League World Series United States Championship since the State began competing in 1957;
Whereas Summerlin South is the fourth team from Nevada to advance to the Little League World Series Tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania;
Whereas Summerlin South won all 3 games in the Mountain Region Tournament, outscoring opponents 45–15 and winning the region finals by a score of 6–3;
Whereas Summerlin South players should be congratulated for their dedication, teamwork, and display of impressive athletic talent; and
Whereas behind the Summerlin South players is a team of parents, coaches, and league support staff without whom those players could not have been successful: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved,
(1) commends and congratulates Summerlin South Little League on winning the 2025 Little League World Series United States Championship and completing a successful 2025 season;
(2) recognizes the achievements of all players, coaches, parents, and league staff who contributed to the success of Summerlin South Little League during the 2025 season; and
(3) respectfully requests that the Secretary of the Senate transmit an enrolled copy of this resolution to—
(A) Summerlin South president Chris Mallory; and
(B) Summerlin South manager TJ Fechser.
