The "Information Quality Assurance Act of 2025" aims to improve the quality, objectivity, and integrity of influential information used by federal agencies in developing rules and guidance. It requires the Director to update guidelines for federal agencies and make them available to the public. Each agency must ensure the best available information is used, establish mechanisms for correcting inaccurate information, and disclose factual material and sources. Exceptions are provided for information prohibited from disclosure. The bill's implementation is not expected to require additional funds. This act seeks to enhance the transparency and reliability of information used in government decision-making, impacting public and private sector actions and policies.
