Allowing Emancipation Hall to be used for a ceremony to dedicate the Semiquincentennial Congressional Time Capsule on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring),
USE OF EMANCIPATION HALL FOR A CEREMONY TO DEDICATE THE SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL TIME CAPSULE IN HONOR OF AMERICA'S 250TH ANNIVERSARY
(a) Authorization.—Emancipation Hall in the Capitol Visitor Center is authorized to be used on June 24, 2026, for a ceremony to dedicate the Semiquincentennial Congressional Time Capsule in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
(b) Preparations.—Physical preparations for the ceremony described in subsection (a) shall be carried out in accordance with such conditions as the Architect of the Capitol may prescribe.
