Summary

Nuclear Waste Informed Consent Act

This bill prohibits the Department of Energy (DOE) from making an expenditure from the Nuclear Waste Fund for the costs incurred by DOE in connection with disposing of spent nuclear fuel or high-level radioactive waste in a repository, unless DOE has entered into an agreement to host the repository with certain affected entities.

Additionally, any agreement to host the repository must meet certain conditions.
