Election Laws - As enacted, authorizes nominees to fill a vacancy for a judge, district attorney general, or public defender occurring later than 180 days before the qualifying deadline, to be selected by statewide political parties by any method authorized by the rules of the party. - Amends TCA Title 2 and Title 55, Chapter 50.

New Johnsonville - Subject to local approval, prohibits a person whose immediate relative is an elected official in the city government from being elected as a city official. - Amends Chapter 81 of the Private Acts of 2014.

Highways, Roads and Bridges - As introduced, requires the department of transportation to study the development of a new bridge crossing the Mississippi River and connecting to Arkansas. - Amends TCA Title 54.

Criminal Offenses - As enacted, creates the Class B misdemeanor offenses of criminal impersonation of a transportation network company driver and criminal impersonation of a private passenger-for-hire vehicle driver. - Amends TCA Title 7, Chapter 51; Title 39 and Title 65, Chapter 15.

DNA and Genetic Testing - As enacted, requires collection of a biological specimen from certain convicted offenders to be collected within 30 days of sentencing to be used for DNA analysis; requires a law enforcement agency to submit a biological specimen from an offender who dies while incarcerated and was previously convicted of a qualifying offense. - Amends TCA Title 40, Chapter 35, Part 3.

Children and Youth, Commission on - As enacted, creates the Tennessee juvenile justice review commission to review an appropriate sampling of juvenile justice cases and any critical incidents involving juveniles in order to provide the general assembly with findings and legislative recommendations. - Amends TCA Title 4 and Title 37.
