Alcoholic Beverages - As enacted, establishes new premier type tourist resorts, urban park centers, and museums that can offer liquor by the drink; makes certain clarifications with regard to commercial airline travel clubs that can offer liquor by the drink. - Amends TCA Title 57.

Union County - Subject to local approval, changes the building permit fee to fifty cents per square foot on all buildings constructed, erected, or reconstructed. - Amends Chapter 87 of the Private Acts of 1973; as amended.

Taxes, Hotel Motel - As enacted, extends by six years the period in which Davidson County may charge an additional $0.50 privilege tax on the occupancy of a hotel room and in which such county may allocate the tax revenue for the purposes of direct promotion of tourism; extends by six years the terms of the committee members that oversee the fund in which the additional tax is deposited. - Amends TCA Section 7-4-202.

Interest Rates - As enacted, increases, from 30 to 36 percent per annum, the maximum permitted effective rate of interest that may be contracted for by an industrial loan and thrift company on an unpaid balance where the amount financed is $100 or more; makes other related changes. - Amends TCA Title 45, Chapter 5.

Election Laws - As introduced, requires a candidate's name on a nominating petition to match the candidate's name as it appears on the candidate's voter registration record; prohibits the use of nicknames, abbreviations, and variations in spelling of candidates' names on ballots. - Amends TCA Title 2.

Alcoholic Beverages - As enacted, lowers the county population threshold, from in excess of 500,000 to in excess of 350,000, for a sports authority facility to be eligible to obtain a liquor-by-the-drink license; prohibits a facility located in Hamilton County from being issued a license after March 1, 2030, and requires the law enforcement agency that has jurisdiction over a facility located in Hamilton County to provide an annual report to the general assembly detailing any public safety issues related to the facility. - Amends TCA Section 57-4-102.
