Summary
Student Debt Cancellation Act of 2019
This bill requires the Department of Education to (1) forgive the outstanding balance of interest and principal due on all Federal Family Education Loans, Federal Direct Loans, and Perkins Loans, including parent loans, consolidation loans, and certain grants treated as loans; and (2) purchase and forgive the outstanding balance of interest and principal due on private student loans.
