Summary
Affordable American-made Automobile Act
This bill expands the tax credit for electric drive motor vehicles to include new and used battery electric motor vehicles. It reinstates and extends through 2030 the tax credit for alternative fuel vehicle refueling property and eliminates the limitation on such credit. The bill also makes the refueling credit applicable to electric vehicle charging stations.
The bill allows the use of private activity bonds to finance a qualified battery electric motor vehicle manufacturing facility or a qualified electric vehicle battery manufacturing facility.
