The "Cross-Boundary Wildfire Solutions Act" requires a study to assess existing federal programs and rules for mitigating wildfires across land boundaries. The study will also evaluate the potential for changes to increase resources for federal land management agencies, agriculture and homeland security departments, as well as state, local, and tribal governments. Additionally, it will review activities under the Healthy Forests Restoration Act to improve wildfire mitigation. A report with the study results and recommendations is due to relevant congressional committees within two years of the Act's enactment.
