The bill requires a study on rural weather monitoring systems, focusing on current capacity, geographical differences, resources, the impact of unreliable systems, the need for updates, and barriers faced by rural areas. The study, to be submitted within 120 days of the Act's enactment, will impact rural areas' access to accurate and reliable weather data, potentially leading to better weather monitoring systems and improved safety and planning for rural communities.
