The Bank-Fintech Partnership Enhancement Act requires studies on the impact of partnerships between banking organizations and financial technology companies, as well as credit unions and fintech firms, regarding competition, innovation, consumer protection, and the availability of financial products and services. The studies will assess how these partnerships affect the formation of new organizations, time to market for products, compliance burdens, customer acquisition, technological capabilities, and funding sources. Additionally, the National Credit Union Administration must report to Congress its findings and recommendations for potential changes to laws and regulations to promote effective credit union-fintech partnerships within a year of the Act's enactment.
