The Act establishes the Task Force on the Impact of the Affordable Housing Crisis, which is tasked with evaluating the impact of a lack of affordable housing on various aspects of life and making recommendations to Congress. It defines "affordable housing" and outlines the establishment and composition of the Task Force. The Task Force is required to complete a comprehensive report, utilize available data, hold hearings, and gather information from federal agencies. It must submit a final report to the designated congressional committees and terminate within 2 years. Funding is authorized for fiscal years 2027 through 2030.
